It's Been So Long

It's been so long since I posted, and not for lack of dreams.
I went on vacation... and of course had spectacularly strange dreams then, and I've been home and on the hCG diet for the past week, which also produces some mighty strange dreams.

Do most of you have crazy dreams while in a foreign bed? Isn't that weird? I wonder why it is that our body produces "off" dreams in a strange place.

My most memorable of the dreams I had on vacation was one of Carrie and I sitting out on a side patio of "my house". The yard was huge and bordered by a ditch. Two thugs walked into my yard and were going to pass through. I suggested they cross at the border near the ditch, but they insisted on coming through the side patio. Really they were coming to hurt us or rob us or some such nonsense. As they approached, Carrie and I became a fighting force. We brutally beat the crap out of both of them. I slammed one guy's face onto a planter box, and just wailed on him non-stop. She held him down breifly then turned and beat up the other guy.

That was the extent of the dream. It was vivid and very "real".
I take it as "Don't mess with Carrie and I as a team." haha

The hCG induced dreams of this past week have included one where my wall in the dining room had a leak and water was puddling on the floor. A wet spot could be seen at the base of the wall, going up about a foot.
Another was about bugs on my blue living room carpet. A yellow scorpion about the size of my thumb was the first bug I saw, then tons more... centipedes, beetles, earwigs... I lifted the carpet to shake them off, and at least 100 poured off. ugg!!!
I had another about something weird in my house that I can't remember now.
I'm taking these as, "Hey, what's this weird hormone in my 'house'?"

Last night I watched "Exit through The Gift Shop", a documentary about street art and a particular dude who named himself "Mr. Brainwash". It was interesting and not at all what I was expecting.
We had a discussion after watching it where we talked about what we could do if we had an entourage of people creating our ideas for us with an unlimited money supply.
This morning I woke up with so many art ideas. The biggest of which was about creating digital art of each of my dreams. I could give you a visual of all these dreams that I write about.
My mind was swirling with with snap shots I would take from each dream. Every dream I thought of I could think of the one moment that I would like to capture from it. That was surprising to me; one imagine from each dream rose up. Does that mean that's the "main idea" of each dream? Or simply that it was the most vivid part? Why one thing? Am I supposed to do something with this?
Then I thought of my new Ipad that arrives in a couple weeks, and all the art apps that I'll have for creating with. Perhaps creating a few dream images won't be so hard. Perhaps.
You'll be the first to know if this idea becomes a reality. :-)

Bugs and Clothing Options

Yes, I have been dreaming the past few days, but quite frankly the people in my dreams wouldn't want me sharing what I dreamed about. So I didn't.

Last night I had a few tell-able dreams...
One was about bugs. ALL kinds of bugs. They were flying and crawling all around me. (Perhaps because I vacuumed up so many yesterday from windowsills and sliding glass door frames.) I had my son's cricket pinchers that we use to feed his bearded dragon, and I was pinching them straight out of the air. It was a very frustrating dream.  (I actually think it had more to do with my ipod melt down right before I went to bed. I said "Yes" to something I shouldn't have and spent the last hour before bed deleting duplicates from my play lists.  Point, click, control, point click..... etc.) Tedious.

I had another dream about clothes... 80's clothes to be exact. My sister again... and myself dressing for school or something. This time there was tons to choose from and I wasn't having any problems fitting any of it. (I'm taking that as a step in the right direction! I started a Zumba class Monday night, and am going to water aerobics occasionally.)
...and that's about it.
I hope your dreams are going great... becoming more memorable... and talking to you. :-)

Stick Bugs and Falling off Golf Carts

I had three dreams last night.
I woke up at 1:10 with the first one in my head... something about three choices. (Can't remember anything else).

#2 I was at my niece Tabitha's house playing with her kids and puppies. (Really they don't have puppies anymore, just a dog, but you know in my dreams puppies represent youth.) One of the puppies went outside the back door and I followed it. When I got outside there were tons of bugs right at face level in front of a big leafless tree. (At the park the other day in one patch there was a bunch of mosquitoes right at face level.) I started to swat the bugs with my hand but they started to stick to me and to themselves and in my hair. I took hold of one and examined it. It was a stick bug. The kind that look just like a twig, only it had the face of a demon. They were all around. After the close look into their faces I started taking hand fulls of them and throwing them away from myself. They would only go about two feet and then float in mid air right where I had thrown them.  My mom came out to help me.  By this time I had one boring it's way into my face on my left cheek. I told myself I would pull it out by it's butt as soon as I swatted the rest away.  But of course, when I was done swatting the rest away the bug had gone completely into my face and I had a huge swelling on my left cheek.  I walked over weeping to show my mom. We walked inside crying and wondering what to do.  (It was quite upsetting... and woke me up.)

#3 I was on a tour in a bus. (The tour just won't leave me alone.) We were on a road out in the desert. The landscape to the right was a bit like the wasteland I had in a dream a few days ago behind the wall.  It wasn't charred though, just jagged, like red rock canyon in So Cal. As we were going down the road, the driver looked back and lost control of the steering wheel. We went off to the right into the rocky terrain. When she grabbed the wheel again she was enjoying the new excitement and kept driving in the rough terrain. We were all enjoying it, and the vehicle had changed into a monster truck type golf cart. I was in the far back with another lady and two other women were standing right behind the rail of the bed of the truck/cart. One of the ladies standing was older. (I think she may have been one of the ladies on the real tour I took that walked with a cane.)  At a sharp turn the older lady was flung out of the cart and landed on her back in terrible pain. We all got out to save her, and put her back on the cart. I offered her my seat and told her I would stand.

...and that was the end of that one.
