My Daughter's Bo

I had a few dreams last night, but I can only remember the one that was in my head upon awakening.

A little background first.
I often dream that I am my daughter.  Some times I will be in her body; other times I will be in my body but living her life.  In the past month or so I have had multiple dreams where I am her fighting to keep her man.
My daughter has a boy...  that would/will be her boyfriend now that she is sixteen and allowed to date. He lives in San Diego but is coming up for a visit this weekend.  There is a good deal of debate going on between my husband and I on how things will be when he gets here. Exactly what are they allowed to do etc.  One question up for debate is can he walk her home from school alone.  Which leads us into the dream...

As is the "plan" I  drop off Nick to walk home with my daughter.  I drive home to the house I lived at when I was 10-12 at Edwards AFB. Inside, it resembles the house I lived in at VAFB when I was 16-18. Nick's mom and sister are there cooking. I sample Greta's cooking; It's cheese in pasta sauce that looks like fat cells, just like my dream a few nights ago. (OK... SOMETHING is up with the fat cell cheese thing!)

The young couple is taking too long to walk home... obviously they aren't walking.
I go to get them... can't find keys.
I find them, and drive over to the house that I dropped him off at (not school after all). They are there, but not doing anything wrong. I take them home.

Nick sits down on the lazy boy.   (In my own body, but hopefully acting at my daughter now), I kiss him. I have lettuce in my mouth, and give him some during the kiss.
We start to talk about talk about the disgrace of Veggie Monster... no longer Cookie Monster.
I see a diorama of sesame street. Veggie Monster has a comb over hairdo, very geeky.

I have to go for my Wednesday morning dog hike, but I'll be thinking of meaning...
Kissing with lettuce... that's got to be something.  And of course this strange cheese re-occurrence.

Rated X

I knew this day would come.  I'm kinda surprised it took this long. :-)

Last night's dream setting was in a rather large hotel room with 70's style wood paneling on one wall, and massive windows on the other two. (The door and a sink area were on the fourth.) Out the window was a walkway, and snow, I think... like we were up in Tahoe or somewhere.

The dream was basically a recap of our escapade last night, before I went to sleep. I have, I believe, one of the best lovers in the world for a husband. We 'work' beautifully together. ;-)
In the aftermath of sex I saw a friend of mine walking down the sidewalk outside the window. Then I heard a knock on the door and got up to answer it.
I'm not sure exactly what happened then, but shortly afterward my friend (who lives near Tahoe) and I were shopping in a thrift store.
I saw one of those cool hand held mixer things and gave it a spin. It was sitting beside a crock-pot full of sauce. I put in some cheese (again with the cheese!) and turned it on... somehow with the lid on, but the mixer inside. The cheese puffed up like it exploded and the lid cracked open. "Oops". The sauce looked like a pot of giant fat cells with red edges. My friend and are were shocked... We looked around and walked away.
We also strolled through a perfume counter area and nicer clothes (not really thrift store vibe anymore). I don't remember the other things we picked up and looked at.

I'm sure some of you were hoping for more details with the X rated parts, but there are others reading that are mortified that they know that much. If details were important, I'd tell you, but that dream was obviously just me revealing in my moment... There was no extra meaning.

I'm pretty sure I was dreaming about my mountain area friend because I was talking to her last night on facebook, and I drove half way to her house yesterday to a different friend's house for some reuse fun.  You can read about that on her blog if you like...

"Monkey Cheese"

I had a very busy day today. Reuse craft day up at Janet's... Street drama with the drama team... snuck in a little shopping...  then dinner... So I'm just getting around to blogging.

Last night's dream was short and sweet... good thing... cause I'm ready to chill and watch a movie or something.

It must have been a youth group house party or something. I arrived with a hand full of my youth group peers from 1992. As I looked around the host's house (an older heavyset woman) I was filled with joy. The decor reminded me of my parent's 80's house. I relished the warmth that the memory brought me.
We sat around the coffee table and ate nachos. I picked up a chip loaded with cheese and other goodness. The cheese lifted like it does on hot pizza. I bit into the chip, but it wouldn't break. I had to shove the whole thing in. A girl to my left (Aubrey) explained to me that 'monkey cheese' was hard to break.
I sat back on the couch and looked out the window behind me. Out the window was a Raley's grocery store and the parking lot. I saw a boy I recognized walk by. I pointed, looked closer and said, "That's Gary Lawson, my last real boyfriend." (What I guess I meant by that was that he was the last guy I dated before my daughter's bio dad.)
I had another short dream about someone wanting to buy my purse (which would be cool, cause I don't want it. It's too big for me.)
... and that's all.

So, what the heck is monkey cheese? Maybe I just want cheese. I haven't had it lately due to the fast.

I saw a few pictures from my friends on facebook of flooding in their areas. Pretty soon we'll be worrying about our own disaster relief efforts and Haiti will be an after thought.
